Dr.Shakirullah Khan is a distinguished Professor and has an authority on Excavations and Explorations: from Pre-Historic Period Sites to Muslim Period , he has a working experience with Foreign Missions: British Archaeological Mission, American Archaeological Mission, Canadian Archaeological Mission, Japanese Archaeological Mission in Pakistan.He is the head of Archaeology at the Hazara University in Mansehra. Dr.Shakirullah has given training programs with UNSECO,Smithsonian Institution USA, Wisconsin, Madison, USA, Leicester University, UK AIPS, Islamabad, Cultural Ministry of Oman, JCSACH, Tokyo, Japan, he is a Member of ISMEO — Associazione Internazionale di Studi sul Mediterraneo e l’Oriente (International Association of Studies on the Mediterranean and the East). He is also a  member of the Academic / University bodies of Hazara University Mansehra, University of Peshawar, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Sindh, in Pakistan.
