Mr. Mumtaz Ali is retired as Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan. Mr Mumtaz is also the founding board member of the UM Healthcare Trust which was established in 2004 to provide free medical care to the people who cannot otherwise get to see a doctor. To date, over 200,000 patients have been treated for free in KPK province of Pakistan. Mr Mumtaz has a long association with volunteer activities which not only spans the social sector but also promotion of water-based sporting activities in Pakistan and Asia. He is also the former President of Pakistan Rowing Federation and Asian Rowing Federation. Mr Mumtaz is also active on the promotion and preservation of Pashtun literature and culture.
